What is the classification of hydraulic power steering pump?
1. From the perspective of vehicle types, hydraulic power steering pump can be divided into commercial vehicle pump and passenger vehicle pump.
2. From the perspective of structural forms, hydraulic power steering pump can be divided into vane pump, gear pump and plunger pump. Among them, vane pump is widely used in various vehicle types due to its advantages of small size, low noise, and high volumetric efficiency.
3. From the perspective of driving forms, hydraulic power steering pump can be divided into gear driven steering pump, belt driven steering pump, and crosshead key (spline) steering pump. Among them, belt driven steering pump is mainly used to drive passenger cars with smaller torque, while gear driven and crosshead key steering pumps are more common in commercial vehicles.Parámetros críticos:

Steering noise
1. Fault symptoms. Excessive noise occurs when the car is turning.
2. Fault cause. Loose transmission components of the mechanical steering system cause excessive steering noise; The power steering pump is damaged or severely worn; Excessive noise caused by loose or slipping drive pulley of power steering pump; Poor performance of steering control valve; Loose oil pipe joints or broken oil pipes cause air infiltration into the hydraulic system, resulting in excessive noise; The oil filter screen is clogged or there is excessive sediment in the hydraulic circuit.
3. Fault diagnosis: When steering noise occurs, the following methods can be used for diagnosis:
(a) If there is a "click" sound during steering, it may be that the steering column shaft joint is loose, the tie rod is loose, or the ball joint is loose. The above parts should be inspected, and if necessary, tightened or replaced with damaged components; If the steering column shaft swings severely, replace the steering column assembly; If the steering gear is installed too loosely, tighten it; Necessary lubrication shall be carried out for the lubricating parts at the connection.
(b) If there is a "rattle" sound during steering, and the noise is greater when the steering wheel is turned from one extreme position to the other extreme position, it may be caused by the slipping of the power steering pump drive belt. At this time, the tightness and wear of the drive belt can be checked, and the drive belt can be tensioned or replaced as necessary.
(c) When the steering wheel is in the limit position or slowly rotating the steering wheel in place, if the steering gear emits a severe "hiss" sound, it may be due to poor performance of the steering control valve. The control valve should be replaced for comparative inspection to determine the fault.
